Most iPhones and iPads will automatically turn off the backlight and lock the display after a few minutes of inactivity. This makes sense for most apps, but Night Clock is meant to show the time all night long! To disable Auto-Lock, simply tap anywhere on the screen and press the Padlock icon. When the padlock is closed with "A" the Auto-Lock feature is enabled. When the padlock is opened the display is permanently unlocked.
You can also use the brightness controls to adjust the backlight. The dimmest setting is perfect for running overnight. It is still recommended to leave your iPhone or iPad plugged into a charger, even on the lowest brightness setting.
The default brightness and locking settings are restored whenever you leave Night Clock.
